Rule Update: Chuds being Chuds is not Drama ,

For the past month or so we have been cracking down on “not drama” posts, so for the sake of clarity, we have added a new rule:
Moving forward, posts that are just right wing/alt right/chud YouTubers expressing their usual views/being chuds will not be allowed. Posts that fall into this category will no longer be allowed here. There is nothing new or surprising about them, and quite frankly we find a lot of it to just be karma farming. Yes we know Asmongold and critical drinker have bad takes, you don’t need to post every single one.
An exception to this rule would be if something exceptional comes out around them, or drama between multiple of them (ie in fighting or fighting with another YouTuber) but otherwise, chuds being chuds is not drama and these posts will no longer be allowed.

For extra clarity, does a “chud reveal” still count for posting here? Making fun of open chuds is definitely low-effort content, but idk if this will cross wires.
Good call imo. Those kind of posts are just depressing without creating useful discussion. They get kinda circlejerky.
What I’d really like to see an end to are the tons of posts that are just ‘who is a YouTuber who isn’t doing anything wrong but you just hate their face?’ Just seems totally catty and gossipy. Yeah, I get this is a drama sub, but I’ve been on it for a couple of years, back when we only got maybe one post every couple of days. It was for active/ongoing dramas between YouTube personalities or ones started by them. It’s really had a tonal change of general snark since then.

I know a few other subs that could benefit from this. They don’t even cover the actual subreddit topics anymore, they just post screenshots of slurs and bigotry. Half the time the videos they post from don’t even have more than 5k views so nobody saw it anyways. At what point do these circlejerks end up just promoting the bigotry they hate?
I also appreciate that you’ve been cracking down on “omg look at these thumbnails” posts when almost every YouTuber has pretty terrible thumbnails. YouTube as a platform encourages these things so it shouldn’t surprise anybody.
The whole point of subreddits is (ideally) that they have specific identities. There are plenty of subs for calling out/mocking right-wing lunacy; there’s no need to erode this sub’s specific identity.
