If I don’t find a signal in 5 or ten mins, I’ll go back into oc, relocate, and try for another 10. If I can’t find anything in that time, I move on
I’ve definitely moved on many times. Searching for more than an hour is just a waste of limited time for something probably not even super valuable.
I’ve found that they are usually in very small areas of the planets. Very easy to miss that blue dot. In this case, I wouldn’t even try. I would just move on, because I probably couldn’t even find them.
They are difficult to find sometimes and are often in mountainous areas hard to land in.
I was able to make my billions very easily by exclusively looking for Stratum Tectonica which can be found on high metal content planets with small atmospheres
Time investment vs reward, sometimes it’s more efficient to move onto the next target
They both have a particular geological formations where they grow up, so that shrinks the search area, Fungoida grows is the “fuck you and your landing gear” (mountainous) area and Concha grows near rocky dune-like formations. The “Blue” heatmaps aren’t too reliable sometimes.
