La concha vs condado ocean club ,
Hi everyone
I’m travelling to Puerto Rico in the coming days and want to treat myself to a nicer hotel for a day. I’m debating between La concha and condado ocean club. Price wise they’re pretty similar. Wondering which hotel is better? I’m a 30 year old woman travelling solo, hoping to make friends with people around my age group and I Love a fun hotel.

I’m travelling to Puerto Rico in the coming days and want to treat myself to a nicer hotel for a day. I’m debating between La concha and condado ocean club. Price wise they’re pretty similar. Wondering which hotel is better? I’m a 30 year old woman travelling solo, hoping to make friends with people around my age group and I Love a fun hotel.
I think La Concha is a little bit tacky and the location is too busy street wise. COC seems to be better located on Ashford. If you walk towards the bridge on Ashford you’ll find a small beach next to the last hotel on the strip which is safer to take a dip in than the open ocean.
And also has a great casino

first night at la concha so i’ll report back. walking past coc earlier caught my ear because the music was so good lol
Stayed at La Concha this past winter, but not solo. Really enjoyed it. Nice fun bar and restaurants and great location on top of a lovely room. Very modern and clean and they were working on adding a casino.

Literally between those two you also have Condado Vanderbilt which is a fancier hotel.
Condado Ocean Club: relative new building so modern design and decor. One pool.
La Concha: a much bigger and OLDER hotel. Obviously millions have been poured to make it fancy but there is still so much you can do to the building and some rooms. Still very high class hotel. More restaurants, more pools, beach (don’t swim in Condado beaches) bigger chance of seen someone famous, a popular nightclub, casino, lobby always has people, exotic cars parked on front, etc.
Another 4 star hotel near is Caribe Hilton.
You could also check out: 10min drive from Condado you have Sheraton Hotel at the Convention Center. Another 4 star hotel, rooftop pool, casino and right in front of Distrito T-Mobile.
Or right on Distrito T-Mobile you have Aloft San Juan which is a way cheaper hotel but obviously the Aloft brand is aimed at a younger crowd.
If you want to be around the most amount of people your age then go to La Concha.
La Concha all day long
They are similar hotels tbh. I’d go with whatever’s cheaper.
