The best conchas ,
I don’t really like conchas. I find most of them have icing that is too hard and too sweet. Then the concha itself is too dry and doesn’t have much flavor so I tend to pass them up and go for other types of sweet bread. Recently my SIL got me a concha that was really good! Soft, sweet bread and icing that wasn’t too rich and hard. Does anyone recommend a place for good conchas?

La Panaderia has some good ones
Panifico Bake Shop on 24th street over on the west side has the best!
Jimenez Bakery on Fredicksberg rd in deco district is fire!
Bedoys
Guanajuato Bakery on Culebra has conchas with a really soft texture
I really like the Conchas from Tlahco. Check them out on insta
Put some butter on top wrap them in foil and warm them in the over. You will never see them the same way again after you’ve tried this
I must be the only one that didn’t like La Panaderia. Felt like a crunchy shell on top of a bread roll.
Definitely not the heb ones
They’re very expensive for conchas ($5 each) but Concha Style makes some absolutely delicious sourdough chocolate conchas. They sell them at the Pearl Farmer’s market on the weekend. https://www.conchastyle.com/
The best and voted best in the city is
Alebrije

And near by is Folklores and nice coffee shop with awesome art on the walls
You’re gonna have to drive into the ‘scary’ southside, but La Fiesta Bakery on Pleasanton has some of the best concha’s, Maranitos, and campechanas in the city!

La Esmeralda on New Laredo Hwy!

La Panaderia but the real question should be who got the Best Churros?
Panifico and Bedoys!
Panifico does really cute themed conchas depending on the season. Bedoys are sooo soft and fluffy on the inside
Mayra’s Bakery off of Ackerman Rd in Kirby
