“Hey Concha, it’s time to turn white little buddy!”
She will change on her own, I dont know if theres anything you can safely do to influence it
How to you get your hamster to lay backside on your palm and chill ? Did you teach her or is she naturally that comfortable with you?
Hamsters fur changes color as they get older. It also happened to 2 of mine that were white as baby floofs.
It is only in the first winter, that they get a winter fur. The next winters they will not change their fur.
Apparently hamsters know the season is changing by sunlight, not necessarily temperature. Shorter days = winter. (So please don’t like make the room cold for her, that could actually kill her.)
What you can do is make sure she’s in a room with natural light, and at night just use soft/minimal lighting. Or even red light, if you can tolerate it.
Awwwwwwwwwwwww
What type of hamster is that? I’ve always kept Syrians and the dwarves confuse me. It’s a winter white?
Oh my goodness…that baby picture!! 🥹

Kinda unrelated but reddit glitched for this post and gave me this on my main feed, I was so confused lol
The Rodent
Concha 💕🥰
She looks like she’s plotting something…
Maybe she’ll turn white again over time? If not she might be getting on a bit age-wise.
Amg that first photo is amazing
I want a hamster just to hold him in somewhat goofy ways. Lil guy looks like a furry potato
Why do you need her to be white?
I’ve wondered this myself. I found a winter white a couple years ago that has never darkened her fur. Maybe purebred vs. hybrid?
It’s probably just her fur change as she’s gotten older. She’s freaking adorable!! But I doubt you can just change her fur back. Embrace her as her perfect little self 🙂
HUOOOGHHH CHUNKY
How are we supposed to be resist to this face 😍?
Last pic is such a fluffball 🥺🥺
Oh my heart ♥️❤️❤️❤️
Looks like she’s planning a diabolical experiment, she’s up to something lol
She’s adorable!
Spray paint
Outside of spray paint I’m not sure there is anything that you can do to change your hamster’s color. Why does it matter?
Spray paint works
Lol never bring her to South America; you’d be surprised what completely innocent words can mean if in the right context. (Edit for clarity: her name is slang for a very specific thing in most of South America)
Sand bath if you don’t already have one is a great way
hate when people call them rodents.
World domination hamster. Jokes so cute
Her fur will turn that way in time when it is supposed to
They usually change their coat only at their first winter, so it’s highly likely that your hammy won’t turn white again. He’s very cute tho <3
none of my winter whites have ever turned white for the winter, what’s up with that? always looked forward to seeing their seasonal coats but it never happened.
It’s still fall, there’s time
they turn white as the hours of daylight decrease, you can keep it dim in your room to influence it maybe? i’ve also heard they only go white the first winter.. but that could be false, ive never owned a winterwhite
