  1. Apparently hamsters know the season is changing by sunlight, not necessarily temperature. Shorter days = winter. (So please don’t like make the room cold for her, that could actually kill her.)

    What you can do is make sure she’s in a room with natural light, and at night just use soft/minimal lighting. Or even red light, if you can tolerate it.

  2. Lol never bring her to South America; you’d be surprised what completely innocent words can mean if in the right context. (Edit for clarity: her name is slang for a very specific thing in most of South America)

  3. they turn white as the hours of daylight decrease, you can keep it dim in your room to influence it maybe? i’ve also heard they only go white the first winter.. but that could be false, ive never owned a winterwhite
